This course will ensure you understand the application and documentation used in line with WORKSAFE Approved Code of Practice (ACOPS) Management and Removal of Asbestos. You will learn how to safely remove more than 10m2 of non-friable asbestos and manage asbestos-related risks. The practical element will include the removal of non-friable asbestos (assumed) according to the ACOPS and Asbestos Regulations 2016. 

This course is designed to demonstrate the requirements when working with Class B asbestos for example drilling or cutting a hole for electrical or plumbing work, or the removal of less than 10m2 of Class B asbestos. The course covers preparing the asbestos work site, the decontamination process and disposal of asbestos waste. (includes practical sessions).

This course covers the requirements of the HSW (Asbestos) Regulations 2016 and Asbestos ACOP, ensuring workers that could be exposed to asbestos during construction, plumbing, electrical or demolition understand the health risks and the dangers of Asbestos. Understand where you can find asbestos containing material (ACM) and how to safely handle, remove, decontaminate and dispose of asbestos.
