PERMIT ISSUER FULL COURSE
COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This course will ensure you understand the essential components of the Permit to Work system, especially the legal responsibility to authorise work to be carried out within your workplace Permit to Work System. We will discuss multiple types of permits and what should be in place to issue such permits to ensure a safe working environment exists.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES:

At the completion of the course you will be able to:

Explain the permit types, PI roles and permit requirements for issuing a permit

Demonstrate the preparation requirements for issuing a permit including worksite preparation, hazard analysis and supervisory requirements on site

Explain and demonstrate the implementation of control systems: Monitoring and compliance to work scope, deviations, cancellation and re-issue of work permits.

Explain procedures in terms of change of scope, newly introduced hazards and site emergencies under the permit system

Explain and demonstrate the action to audit and close work permits
