Course Description
Have you formally trained your workers on PPE/RPE, or have you just issued them with safety gear? This seminar provides the worker with knowledge and understanding of the regulatory, technical, and managerial aspects of PPE to ensure that all workers are trained and competent to use, clean, replace, and store PPE and RPE in the workplace.
Key Learning Outcomes
- Understand the importance of PPE.
- Grasp an understanding of the PCB U’s duties associated with the provision of PPE and the worker’s duty to use PPE.
- Determine both the employer’s and the employee’s liabilities.
- Learn to inspect PPE, RPE, safety harnesses and when to perform mandatory inspections.
- Use of instruction manuals: How to store and clean harness, hardhats and RPE as well as when to replace filters on RPE.
- Know the basics of conducting a “hazard assessment” of the workplace.
- Understand the types of PPE and select appropriate PPE for a variety of circumstances.
- Identify the main requirements of the AS/NZS, NZS, AS, EN PPE standards.
- Put in place a robust and consistent PPE program within your organization.
