Course Description

This course is designed to provide you with the knowledge and technical skills to effectively identify and inspect the type of safety harness and connect it to a safety harness system. It also covers risks while working at height, including harness suspension, and the importance of having a rescue plan to execute various rescue methods.

  • Identify the common types of height safety equipment employed on height work in the workplace.
  • Employ height safety equipment in a workplace environment.
  • Identify suitable height work equipment.
  • Plan rescue techniques and emergency procedures for working at height in the workplace.
  • Identify suitable anchor points for fall arrest and restraint systems.
  • Explain the legislative requirements associated with working at heights.
  • Explain the systems suitable for working at heights.

Entry Criteria

Numeracy and Literacy: To complete the assessments, all students must be able to write, speak, and understand basic English.
